Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Vodafone Fiji Events App and related services (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

The App is provided exclusively to registered attendees, speakers, sponsors, moderators, and staff of the events we operate through this App. You must be 16 or older to use the App. Access requires valid registration credentials issued by Vodafone Fiji or the relevant event organiser.

2. Account Responsibilities

• Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Notify us immediately at corporate.ict@vodafone.com.fj if you suspect unauthorised access.
• Provide accurate registration information and keep your profile up to date.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of Fijian law.
• Send harassing, defamatory, offensive, or inappropriate messages through the networking feature.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Attempt to access the App through unauthorised means, reverse-engineer it, or probe for vulnerabilities without written consent from Vodafone Fiji.
• Distribute, share, or publish another attendee's personal information obtained through the networking directory without their consent.
• Transmit viruses, malware, or any code intended to disrupt or damage the App.
• Use the App to send spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or marketing communications to other attendees.
• Record, screenshot, or redistribute proprietary event content (sessions, presentations, speaker materials) without express permission.

4. Intellectual Property

All content within the App — including logos, text, graphics, session materials, speaker profiles, and software — is owned by Vodafone Fiji, its licensors, or content contributors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for event-related purposes only.

5. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (messages, profile information, feedback). By submitting content, you grant Vodafone Fiji a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute it within the App and for event operations. You represent that you have the right to share any content you submit.

6. Networking Directory

By default, your name, organisation, and job title are visible to other registered attendees. You may opt out of the directory at any time in App settings. Vodafone Fiji facilitates but does not mediate attendee-to-attendee interactions; you are responsible for your own communications.

7. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in conduct harmful to other users, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

8. Availability and Changes

• We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the App at any time.
• App functionality is primarily intended for use during and around event 2026; access may be wound down after the event.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Vodafone Fiji does not warrant that the App will meet your requirements or be compatible with all devices.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vodafone Fiji, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App, including loss of data, loss of networking opportunities, or missed event content.

11. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with services provided by Apple and Google (Firebase). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Vodafone Fiji is not responsible for third-party services.

12. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Fiji. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Fiji.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
